The Feeling and the walk back to Foz’s house by Foz

Sup kids! Special guest writer (me) for this entry. I was about to write for this week but Anand’s last entry was ages ago before Noisettes and Bloc Party so I couldn’t write that.

Anyhow, I’m here because a) I asked to write a blog entry and b) Anand said I had to write about the Feeling. But seeing as everyone seemed to know Anand at that gig, you probably all know what they played and stuff anyway. But still, from memory I’ll try and remember it for you.

Anand and I decided we’d be attending the gig around 4 hours before it, because I have contacts we managed to get tickets. Wahoo! But the person I was buying from didn’t arrive until 7.50 so we thought we would struggle to find the others (Maddie, Greg, Becka, Beth and Steph). No worries though. We got into the hall about 2 minutes before The Fray came one and managed to get pretty close to Greg et al. But we couldn’t quite get to them because nobody seems to move for melodic support acts. Anyway, The Fray were alright and a ‘poor coldplay’ in Anand’s eyes.

We got to ‘the others’ towards the end of the Fray’s hit single How To Save A Life and then we talked until the Fray went off. Notable Fray highlight: ‘Mute Math’ t-shirt. I agree.

Onto The Feeling! Well they had stage presence for sure. As I type this, Anand and I are trying to work out their setlist. They opened with generic song 1. Then Fill My Little World…then something else we didn’t know. Then Rosé where ‘the gorgeous Dan’ (nicked that quote off most girls there) promoted drink driving by drinking Whisky. Pfft. Then they moved on to another song that was like Fill My Little World but had different lyrics. And was probably slower. Though it could have been faster…umm then we all sang Never Be Lonely. Which was good. Then Video Killed The Radio Star which I’m going to devote a whole paragraph to now.

IT WAS PHENOMENAL I LOVE THAT SONG FAR TOO MUCH. BEST FEELING SONG EVER!!!

Hope you enjoyed that…umm then there were quite a few other songs including Sewn and I Love It When You Call. And Fat Bottomed Girls by Queen (second best Feeling song ever). Oh! There was also a new song which sounds like the new Take That song. I’m making this sound really bad but in all honesty I had a great time and they were actually very good live. And his singing voice is pretty good.

After the show we reminisced about kicked drum kits, the huge giant girl and video killed the radio star. Anand would like for it to be known he was singing it for half the way home. (That rhymes :-) ) He has now shaken his head at me for using this symbol ‘:-)’. Now he has used shifty eyes for typing that he shook his head at me for typing :-)

After the gig we walked along the beach. It was nice. We went to KFC also. And saw a midget. And spoke about money. For clarification, that midget was sooooo small. Like a small version of a midget. A midget midget if you will. We managed to successfully navigate the dark backstreets of Charminster back to mine and then we talked about people. Yes, probably you. Then we zzz’d it for the next ten hours or so and that is pretty much the story of ‘The Feeling and the walk back to Foz’s house by Foz’. Cheers!
