The Noisettes
April 29, 2007 on 8:35 pm |I just found this unpublished draft from like February some time. I like, went into detail of the support acts, then just left it at the Noisettes. Like I can be bothered to finish it…
Yesterday we (Anand, Neshie, Maddie and Steph for the most part) went to see The Noisettes at Mr Kyps. I Ought to start with the support acts, so here I go:
Mayor McCa was first up. On his flyer it says he is the “One man band singing sensation, king of DIY and the hardest working man in showbusiness”. Well he certainly entertained Maddie the most. He played songs about his experiences in life such a song about shaving his pubic hair, and another about wanting someone who cleaned windows’ job. Overall he was very entertaining and fun. Kudos to the pact that he played bass with his feet.
The Victorian English Gentleman’s Club were an interesting 2nd support act. They kind of scared me with their atmospheric rock, glaring eyes and marching around the stage. But they were okay. I’m sure if I heard them on record they’d be one of those bands you “get into”. They did scare me quite a bit though, the bassist being the worst culprit with her marching around the stage and glarey eyes.
The Noisettes were amazing though.
